 i have been wearing the same stud earrings for 1-2 weeks............i finally took them out.....when i took them out ....there was all this dirt on them.i think it was dirt....and it made my fingers smell.........what it that...do i need to throw away my earrings...or should i just clean them.....and how would i clean them?......... ...

 I got $1,000.00 diamond earrings for valentines day and i cant get them in!?!?!?! The last time i wore earrings was around christams time. Ive had my ears pierced for about 20 years wearing earrings only off and on...never all the time. Ive never had this problem before These earring have a screw on back with a flat tip. They are a little bigger around that the ones i just put in. I just tried to put my other earrings on and they went on fine....then i tried my new ones and there was no way....i tried till i couldnt take the pain anymore. What can i do....should i just toughen up and push them through?? ive put a pair of long dangly heavy earring in and im going to try to wear these for awhile and then try again.  I think most of my earrings are sterling silver, and they keep getting all brown/black and rusty looking! I even splurged on some earrings coated with white gold, but the same thing happened to those earrings. Does anyone know the name of an earring material that will NOT do this?  I have heard (and seen similar questions in Yahoo answers) that you can use toothpaste to clean jewelry. But can you use toothpaste on earrings? Exactly how do you use toothpaste to clean earrings? I'm assuming you dilute it somehow, but do you soak the earrings or have to scrub them etc? Any other ideas that's cheap to clean earrings? ...

 ifinally got my ears peirced in late december. i bought these nice new dangly earrings with three hoops on each, and i luv them, but by the end of the day my ears are swollen and throbbing and the holes are stretched really long. im pretty sure they'r etoo heavy.. is there anyhting i can do to make my earring holes like stronger or wutever? i just want to be able to wear those earrings! :) ...

 The other day I wore one of my sister's earrings. I had forgotton to wash it first because she told me that she can't wear certain earrings and that her ears bleed or something like that.  okay.... i just got my ears pierced and earrings on thursday..... it's gold (i noe that you need gold earrings when you first get your ears pierced)... and i was just wondering how long do i have to keep that gold earring in till i take it off and switch to silver or cheap earrings..... cause my friend got his piercing a long time ago and he took off the gold earring right away and put on cheap n' silver ones with diamonds..... n' idk if thats gonna work for me... and i don't want it to get infected...help plz??? ...

 my daughter's earring hole got infected i found dried puss all behind her ear and when i cleaned it she has a rash and it looks like the skin behind her ear is raw. i took both earrings out but she has only had them pierced for 3 months. i changed her earring about 2 weeks ago and she didn't say anything about them hurting or itching could it be the earrings or something i need to show the dr. this just happened last night i was going to see how they did today leaving them alone and if it doesn't heal then call the dr. i cant wear some metals in my ears or i will itch. by the way i changed them becouse she accidently pulled one of her starters out when changing her shirt and we couldn't find it. and when she got them peirced two people did it at the same time couse of her age and the one that is infected got peirced twice couse the lady apparently didn't know what she was doing or didn't pay attention and didn't hit the ink where they marked it but that shouldv'e healed a few days after it was done. i know i will tell everyone who wants to get their ears peirced not to go where i took her i was so mad i couldv'e hurt that lady but my daughter was strong and didn't move a muscle when they did it not even when they redid it ...

 Both of my gold earrings have fallen out... great! I cannot find them anywhere. I have sensitive ears, and was told that I can only use gold earrings. I need replacement earrings or else my holes will clothes up. Can I wear fashion earrings and earrings made of sterling silver? I was told by my mother than I can only wear gold earrings.  Ok so I am on a mission to find these white-gold hoop earrings like the ones I used to have. I have no idea what the type of clasp is called, but basically the part that goes through your ear is on a hinge and attaches to the other side of the earring by sticking into it, not like most hoops that attach to that little U shaped part. I know I am not explaining this well! Basically this reason I like this type is then you can sleep in the earrings without the back of the clasp sticking into the side of your head - it's all tucked inside. Any help with where to find earrings like this or even what the type of clasp is called?? ...

 I did my first hole myself, with a safety pin, and put normal earrings in right away. My second hole I just got done professionally, and I'm finding that the earring studs they put in are hurting a lot more than my first set did, with normal earrings in. I've heard studs don't allow your ears enough room to swell. Is this true and would I be better off switching the studs to normal earrings? They really hurt! I don't wear hoops for future knowledge. I've got my first hole stretched up to a 10 gauge. The second hole is slightly swollen but they usually are after the piercing. I just wasn't sure if there was a big difference between wearing studs, as I've never worn them before. ...
